5G-MILNET Represented at BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2026
On 26–27 February 2026, the 5G-MILNET project team participated in BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2026 in Nicosia, Cyprus, one of the leading European defence and security innovation events this year.
The conference convened policymakers, industry representatives, research organisations, defence stakeholders and innovators from across Europe to examine emerging developments in digitalisation, dual-use technologies and defence industrial preparedness.
5G-MILNET was represented at the event by project partner EBOS, which engaged with participants to present the project’s objectives and technological focus. The presence of 5G-MILNET contributed to raising awareness of its work on secure and resilient 5G-enabled communications, mission-critical networking, and advanced connectivity solutions tailored to defence operational environments.
The event provided an important platform for dialogue with defence practitioners, technology developers and other innovation actors, supporting 5G-MILNET’s dissemination and stakeholder engagement activities. Discussions over the two days addressed operational communication requirements, secure network deployment in contested environments, interoperability challenges, and opportunities for future collaboration within the wider European defence ecosystem.
Participation in BATTLEFIELD ReDEFiNED 2026 complements 5G-MILNET’s ongoing outreach and impact strategy, strengthening links with key stakeholders and ensuring alignment between project developments and evolving defence capability priorities.
The 5G-MILNET consortium looks forward to continued engagement with the European defence and dual-use technology community as the project advances.
